Norwegian Cruise Line today announced that the company launched a new website dedicated to Australian travel partners and guests, http://www.norwegiancruiseline.com.au.

The number of Australian cruisers has doubled over the past two years, making Australia one of the fastest growing international source markets.

The new Australian site features the same key elements as its North American and European counterparts including ship and destination content, online check-in functionality and a toll-free number that connects callers from Australia to Norwegian Cruise Line representatives.

The site also contains helpful information about required documentation, the onboard experience and a comprehensive overview of the many ports of call that Norwegian ships visit. Booked guests who access the new site can book shore excursions and purchase cruise amenities in Australian dollars, as well as make onboard dining and entertainment reservations.

“We have seen significant growth in bookings from Australian guests over the past several years,” said Francis Riley, Norwegian Cruise Line’s vice president and general manager international.

“Recognizing this extraordinary growth, the launch of a dedicated website in Australia reinforces our commitment to the Australian market by providing travel partners the ability to book in local currency.”

On Norwegian’s new Australian website, cruise fares are offered in Australian dollars and content is tailored to the Australian consumer. In addition, travel partners are able to book groups on the website through a dedicated travel agent portal. Partners also have access to all the latest marketing materials, located on Norwegian’s Marketing Headquarters, training programs and company updates posted on Norwegian Cruise Line University, “NCLU.”

Riley adds, “Freestyle Cruising provides guests the freedom and flexibility that Australians seek in a vacation. Launching an Australian website will help us communicate our brand message to a very large and receptive audience, provide a valuable resource to consumers and travel partners, and make Norwegian Cruise Line more accessible to Australian guests.”
